If you have been in a car accident, all of the details that come next can be overwhelming and confusing. Chenal Urgent Chiropractic is here to relieve all of that stress and get you feeling better, faster. We have more than 19 years of experience with car wreck injuries, making us the experts in helping you navigate insurance claims, medical bills and court proceedings. Even if you don't notice any pain or obvious symptoms following your auto accident, we still recommend you see Dr. Chambers for an evaluation, as it can take a few days for symptoms to appear following accident injuries.

How Much Does This Cost? Will I Have to Use My Insurance Coverage?

You may be worried about paying for your chiropractic care following an accident. In many cases, it may not cost you anything. Your auto insurance policy may cover some of your treatment or, if you were in an accident that is determined to be the other driver's fault, you may be able to receive compensation for your medical bills and associated treatment costs from his or her insurance company. But don’t worry – we are here to help walk you through all of the options you have regarding insurance coverage pertaining to your accident. We will even assist with paperwork and provide medical records as needed so you can focus on getting better.

What Can I Expect During My First Visit with the Chiropractor?

At your first visit, we will ask about your medical conditions, gather details about your car wreck and conduct a thorough exam to determine the exact nature and extent of your injuries. This exam may include an X-ray or other diagnostic imaging as necessary. We will then create a customized plan tailored to your needs and review it with you. If we determine that you need to be evaluated by another healthcare professional, we will refer you to our in-house medical team so we can determine your needs and come up with a plan that will work best for you during your first visit. We will also help you with your car accident claim and settlement process.

What If My Car Wreck Happened a Few Weeks Ago?

Research shows that adrenaline and shock can mask symptoms of your car accident injury for hours, days or even months. It’s normal to feel sore in the days and weeks following a car wreck. Unless you seek professional medical assistance, there is no way to know whether your soreness will heal on its own or if it’s a symptom of a more serious condition, so it makes sense to have a thorough chiropractic exam after any injury.

Do You Think I Should Hire an Attorney?

It is important to have your injuries documented BEFORE you visit an attorney so you know the appropriate health care necessary for optimum recovery. Dr. Chambers can document your injuries and supply your attorney with electronic health records to assist in your settlement process. We can also recommend some good attorneys that specialize in car accidents.

What is Chiropractic Care, anyway?

When you are in a car accident, the force of even a minor collision can throw your spine and other joints out of alignment. A chiropractor can relieve much of the pain and inflammation associated with car accident injuries by adjusting and realigning the joints, utilizing ultrasound and electrical stimulation therapy, among other non-invasive therapies. If your injuries require care from a medical doctor, we have that at Chenal Urgent Chiropractic as well. We can meet all of your needs under one roof.

How Long Will It Take For Me To Feel Better?

Each case is different and we will give you an assessment of how long you can expect your treatment to take during your initial evaluation. It is extremely important that you complete your course of treatment both for your recovery and to assist in your insurance claim.

What If My Car Only Has Minor Damage or I Only Have Minor Pain?

Documented studies done by Charles Carroll, M.D., Paul McAtee, M.D. and Lee Riley, M.D. revealed that: “The amount of damage to the automobile bears little relation to the force applied to the cervical spine (neck) of the occupants.”  In other words, the injuries to the people in the vehicle do not necessarily correlate to the amount of damage to the vehicle. So, all auto accident injuries should be evaluated by a qualified chiropractor such as Dr. Chambers.

How Do I Know If I Have Whiplash?

Whiplash is one of the most common auto-accident injuries Dr. Chambers sees. Even low-impact crashes can lead to whiplash, which is characterized by being thrown forward and then backward against the seat belt. Symptoms are not always immediately apparent and vary from one person to another and can include neck pain or inflammation, tingling and headaches
